Terms of Service

Notice: the full Terms of Service are currently under final review by counsel ahead of public launch. This page summarises the binding rules that already apply to your use of UZOVIA. The complete document will be posted here on launch.

1. Who we are

UZOVIA is operated by Transit Mobility Technologies Ltd., a Nigerian company (CAC registration in progress; RC number will be added once issued). References to "we", "us", or "UZOVIA" mean that company.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in Nigeria to register. BVN verification is required for any wallet activity above the Tier 0 limits. Accounts found in breach of this clause are closed without notice.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your PIN, biometrics, and device secure.
  • You must give us truthful identity information. Identity fraud is reported to law enforcement and the NFIU.
  • One person may operate one account. Multiple accounts for the same individual will be closed.

4. Wallet, fares, and fees

  • UZOVIA is a payment platform — your wallet balance is held in a regulated partner-bank trust account, not invested.
  • Transactions are subject to platform fees disclosed at checkout. Fees may change; changes take effect 14 days after publication.
  • Funding via Paystack and bank withdrawals are subject to Paystack's settlement timelines.
  • Stamp duty (where applicable under the Stamp Duties Act) is deducted at the time of the qualifying transaction and remitted to FIRS.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use UZOVIA to launder money, evade tax, finance terrorism, defraud other users or merchants, or facilitate any activity prohibited by Nigerian law. We cooperate fully with the CBN, NFIU, EFCC, and law enforcement.

6. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), and our AML/CFT policy.

7. Account closure

You can close your account at any time from inside the app, or via our web deletion form. We may close or suspend an account that breaches these terms or that we are required to suspend by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified by in-app message and email. Continued use of UZOVIA after notification means you accept the updated terms.
